Availability
The items shown on this web site are sold subject to availability. In the event of supply difficulties, we will attempt to contact you, usually by e-mail, to explain the position. For most items, we keep only one or two in stock. If you require more than one, please use the 'contact' button to ask about availability before ordering. Once an item has been allocated for purchase, if there is no further stock, we will usually suspend its listing until new stock arrives. This may result in gaps where specific items in a range are unavailable. If you have items which might fill those gaps, or if you have entire collections you wish to dispose of, do please get in touch. Depending on the stocks we carry at any particular time, we may well be interested in purchasing good, clean copies, especially if you live nearby. Alternatively, we have a scheme whereby we may contact you and pay you to despatch items we know you have in your possession. Please ask for details or see 'Set to Sell?'.
Quality
The items we send have been previously owned. They are secondhand and therefore carry no VAT. In the majority of cases, our stock is as good as new. Most magazines will have been delivered through a letter-box and may carry the recipient's name, handwritten or on a sticker, on the front cover. We don't usually attempt to remove this.
In a few cases, where the stock is old, some yellowing or foxing of pages may have occured. Items which have been read may have minor creasing or even tears. We try to reflect these small defects in the price. Where more than one copy of stock is held, we will always send you one which, in our opinion, is in the best condition. In just a few cases, we may even offer a choice and price difference, knowing that some collectors are looking for quality, others simply want to fill a space. Packaging
We believe that products should be fair-traded and brought to you in the safest, most economical and environmentally friendly way. For this reason, we will often use re-cycled packaging for your purchases.
Shipping
We will ship to most parts of the world, subject to local customs and/or tax restrictions.
Shipping costs are calculated by formula according to weight, number of items and where in the world the goods will be sent. We are obliged to charge VAT at UK standard rate on post & packing.
Economy is best value, though we will still use First Class postage within the UK except in the case of replacements when 2nd Class may be used. Normal unrecorded postage will be used for shipping outside the UK below certain postage thresholds. Above those thresholds, courier services will generally be used.
Payment
We require verified payment before goods can be despatched. The fastest and really most secure method is through the third party Paypal secure system linked at the end of our ordering process. This allows you to pay by any valid credit or debit card even if you do not have a Paypal account. It ensures your card details are only processed through a secure server and cannot be seen by us or anyone else. You can follow the procedure at the checkout or, if you know the amount you owe us, including shipping, simply pay from your account to paypal@manyagem.com. Your payment will be quoted in GB Pounds but you can still pay in other supported currencies, including $US and Euros.
For low value (< £10) transactions, we are quite happy to accept mint condition, current GB postage stamps to the full value.
If you prefer, you can still send us an order through the post, accompanied by a cheque. This will take longer because, unless we know you, goods will not be despatched until the cheque has cleared. Order online and tell us your intentions at the Checkout, or send us a list of what you want to the address specified under Contact. Your cheque must be in GB Pounds and made out to Many a Gem Ltd.
Discounts
We offer discounts on all purchases above £10 in value, on a sliding scale:
< £10 : 0%
> £10 : 5%
> £20 : 10%
> £35 : 15%
> £60 : 20%
> £100 : 25%
> £180 : 30%
> £260 : 40%
> £500 : 50%
In addition, you should find that postage costs reduce proportionately to the number of items purchased.
Refunds
We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If for any reason you wish to return the items sent to you, provided they are returned in the same condition as arrival, we will normally refund your purchase price. We reserve the right to deduct postage and transaction costs where necessarily incurred.
Pricing
Prices shown are quoted in £Sterling (Pounds Sterling) and include VAT where applicable at standard rate. In most cases, VAT only applies to the P&P element, not to the previously owned items you have purchased. All prices are correct at the time of publishing and are effective until further notice. Individual product prices may be subject to change as a result of market fluctuations. Where small errors occur, we may waive these if in our favour or, if in the customer's favour, we will attempt to correct them in a practical way such as by upgrading the product or by inclusion of postage stamps with the order despatched.
